IBM and Quality Technology Services join hands in providing disaster recovery solutions

IBM and Quality Technology Services are prepared to jointly offer disaster recovery services that are intended to fulfill customers’ business continuity requirements.

The Disaster Recovery ON-Demand and DR High Availability services work to maintain a network’s availability for QTS’ managed hosting clients during server disruptions, QTS said Tuesday.

The DR On-Demand service uses distributed offline servers to replicate images of the customers’ virtual environments.

The DR High Availability feature works to clone the data of physical and virtual servers to provide clients access to updated information, applications and operation systems.

With QTS’ disaster recovery services, we were able to easily customize our client’s recovery solution according to their business needs and specific recovery requirements  said Steve, business executive of private cloud-delivery partner services at IBM Global Technology Services.

Disaster recovery plans and controls are more important for the operation of a business organization in the event of natural calamities like earthquake, floods, hurricanes or man made disasters like electrical fire, negligence, mishandling of systems, failure of IT hardware infrastructure etc. For any medium to large business, data is considered as an invaluable asset and so business houses are investing in disaster recovery and control to resume business operations in the wake of any disaster.
